Genetically modified organism or so called GMO is a kind of organism engineered by scientists from food plants. However, many Scientists have cited several health risks to human health if consumed drastically. Hence, individuals prefer processed foods without GMO ingredients. More and more people are demanding GMO free foods. As you can see, food products in supermarkets or groceries are labeled with GMO free.

Modification of plants is not a new occurrence. Even in the this new era, experts are continuously inventing new innovations that could convert the process into supplements. Today, more and more people have considered the use of non gmo vitamins and supplements as their daily routine than taking them by any food products.

It can be said that for many decades, farmers and gardeners have been using the process of crossbreeding for different species of plants in creating other type of plants that produce better tasting, heartier and more beautiful crops. However, this type of food engineering have caused an upsurge of concern worldwide because of its different practice of plant breeding process around the world.

By using the modern genetic process, the genes of the plants, animals and virus are also inserted in different organisms.. These can determine what type of characteristic is present in a specific organism. With the use of the advanced technology, experts have also created new and unique characteristics of plants and animals combined together, such as potato with jellyfish that glows in the water.

At this certain point of time, the health risks of altered food consumption are not yet determined that much, as further studies are still considered to evaluate the great impact of the foods to the human health. But studies show that it may also lead to some reactions and create toxins that may produce different kind of diseases.

Since people around the world are more aware of the possible health risks, they are also demanding that producers and manufacturers should eliminate the so called Frankenfoods from their products. There are proactive food producers who stopped using the ingredients and now labeling their items as non Genetically Modified Organism ingredients.

Scientists have created new items in the form of supplements. But, there are still individuals who are not convinced with its benefit. Basically, there are certain reasons why individuals should consider daily supplementation to their diet. It is actually true that food processing, cooking and preserving can also lead to depletion which makes it hard for anyone to obtain the right nutrition for their health.

Every individual have genetic weaknesses, such as the needs of some nutrients, and increased possibility of expression of some illnesses if mineral or vitamin deficiencies are present. A lot of nutrients have been proven to prevent in treating health conditions, such as arthritis, high cholesterol and cancer.

Sometimes you can say that consuming healthy food everyday is enough to obtain the right nutrients that your body needs. However, there are also times that proper supplementation is also the key to obtain a healthier body. Thus, it is important to take the right vitamins that your body need.
