There is a number o of ways of maintaining good health. This could be by eating a well balanced diet; a diet that contains all categories of food materials; minerals included. All the same, safety of consumed food is not guaranteed if raw materials used in its preparation are contaminated in any way. To manage this uncertainty in best manner, there are water testing labs established to assess it before use.

Safe water is becoming scarce day by day as environment gets more and more polluted. It is recommended that a people only consume such products that has been declared to be of low risk. To be of low risk means that it should contain the minimal amount of dissolved minerals which are of no consequence to users. Similarly, it should not bare pathogenic microbes or worms of any kind.

It may be considered safe if treated or when naturally free from any form of contamination. Natural springs are an example of safe sources. Treatment may be done in a number of ways that include; boiling, bleaching, distillation and filtering. One way may be effective on its own if applied properly according to the guidelines so established.

Health of any given human population is directly linked to the kind of such products they use. If unsafe or contaminated then users are prone to such products borne or related diseases. Such diseases result from infection by worms or intake of dissolved minerals.

All problems related to water pollution can now be effectively addressed using scientific and technological advances. Creation of such labs has enabled accurate analysis of its composition. Several companies have come up to offer this service to the population. This service has been of grate help to people like such product suppliers and agricultural officers among others.

There are two main categories of tests performed in the lab. One involves evaluation of microbial components while the other assesses such chemistry. There are a number of minerals and microbes checked for during the test process. As a matter of fact, all public and private product suppliers are required to carry out regular tests on the product they supply and submit reports to health officers.

Testing is a procedural process. First step involves collection of a sample that needs testing. Submission forms a second step. A number of information need to be entered in a form requesting the test so as to assist in guiding test procedure. Third step is to deliver a test sample to a laboratory. It must be done in a manner that does not impair test results. For example, it must be free from contamination. Forth step involves the real laboratory workings to meet the requested test. Finally, the test is relayed back to person who requested for it.

Tests are relatively cheap to carry out than to handle the resultant bad health caused by contaminated water. Safe one guarantees an extent of good health and all persons in the population need to b conscious of it. If possible then all individuals should insist on using tested water.
