Boat lights are required for functions of the boats between sunset and sunrise or in times when exposure is limited. From large yachts to small fishing veins all vessels moving in water require performing light for safe routing. A ship owner cannot believe that the producers of the water vessel have set up all appropriate lighting. It is their option to ensure that they have appropriate lighting.

Navigation lamps must be tested before leaving the dock, and the sailor of the vessel must always have an extra bulb. The best illumination for water vessels are those that can perform even in the harshest conditions.LED navigation lights, LED docking illumination or underwater lamps are used to light the boats.

Navigation lights have to be placed correctly so that visibility is not blurred by vessel structure or affected by the lamps of the deck. Using the set rules for navigation, owners should place the lamps at the right position. This is helpful to the sailor who utilize the illumination to convey the correct signals to other boats moving in the same waters.

The choice of lighting style chosen is identified by the type of water floaters and the kind of sea in which the vessel is going. Veins that are less than 7 meters long and whose maximum possible rate cannot exceed 7 knots as well as those that get around globally sea can choose lighting style introducing all-round shiny light. Vacation vessels that are less than 20 meters long or vessel that use oars can use cruise vessels head lighting style. However sailboats less 7 meters can bring electric display light or lighting style that launch shiny light to avoid incident.

Head lamps are used to bring to alert other vessels moving in the water of dangerous conditions and to avoid collision by the boats as they move. Motorboats which are anchored and sailed boats must use anchor lamps. Boats which are less than seven meters however do not necessarily need to use anchor lamps unless the boat is moving in a channel that is narrow.

In addition sailboats that are propelled by machinery must produce illumination that are conical shape. The boats are considered power driven and they therefore must display the illumination prescribed for a power driven water vessel. These are done to ensure the safety of all sailors.

The vessel visual lamps are also used to indicate that the vessel has restricted maneuverability. The rules of navigation stipulate boats barred as a result of their capability to fail to illuminate the best day shapes or lights. There are many other combinations of lamps used on vessels. The illumination shown may hint the activity that the ship, or vessel, is conducting. The activity could be dredging, or fishing or the sail vessel is not under command.

The most basic rule to be followed is a minute power boat ought to be away from any ship, or vessels, that exhibits additional lights. All sailors should know the different positions of lighting and they should be able to interpret the different signals that are conveyed by the different light positions. In addition the sailors should ensure they have all the required boat lights and they are working properly.
