The focus for many these days is on health and fitness. Whether it is to shed excess weight to look better or to simply boost energy levels. Many people have also adopted healthier diets in order to accomplish these things, and visit the gym regularly to increase their strength. For some, however, going to the gym is difficult due to time or money constraints. If you would like to increase your fitness level, but don't want to attend a gym, then you should pay attention to these good at home workouts that don't require expensive equipment.

One simple exercise that you can do at home is Plank Exercise. First, lie on the ground on your side. Your elbows should support your body as you rest it on them as you straighten your legs. Without bending the back or legs, raise the hips in a slow motion. Lifting one hand and resting the whole body on the other hand will be the perfect trial for you. This should be repeated 10-15 times in each set, as you do 1-3 sets.

To exercise your legs, you may want to use stair if you live in a home with stairs. Alternatively, you may want to procure a staircase for this purpose. If you climb up and down the stairs for about 8 to 10 times a day, you will be good.

Another exercise that can be carried out at the place you live and is considered to be one of the most effective is Crunches. Start by lying flat on the ground. Your hands should be placed at the back of your head, as you inter-lock your fingers. Ensuring the knees are not bent, straighten your legs and raise them up. Maintain the position for some seconds and then regain the initial position. Repeat this 10-15 times in each set, as you do 1-3 sets.

Another ab exercise is sit-ups. Lie flat once again, placing your hands behind your head. Now you must sit up without lifting or bending your legs, but by using the abdominal muscles. Pause again in the sitting position before coming back down again. The number of sit-ups you can do will depend on your current level of fitness.

The final exercise that you can do in the house is aerobic dance. This is not just fun but also great for weight loss especially for women. There are DVDs that can guide you. The exercise helps the whole body and can be done with friends.

The above mentioned exercises are among the best home exercises for weight loss for everyone. Besides these, you could also try other exercises. These include Pilates, squats, push-ups lunges, and many others.

Indeed, these are good at home workouts that can keep you healthy. You may do all of them each day of schedule each of them on different days. The goal is that you keep a healthy lifestyle by working out at home.
